Excellent new TV advert from Cancer Research UK

Just got an email from Cancer Research UK to let me know that they have a new advert that will air first in the break during Coronation Street (a popular soap here in the UK) on Monday 12 July. On the charity’s blog post about the ad they ask for feedback on the advert and how they communicate. Please let them know – feedback is the way us health commuicators can improve things.
Personally I think that this is an excellent campaign – the message is spot on and hits the appropriate level of emotion. It is also great to hear the healthcare professionals voice – a perspective rarely seen in this type of campaign. It also acknowledges that more has to be done and is needed from us. It has a clear call to action – a small donation each month that could make a massive difference.
