Happy birthday YouTube

YouTube is five years old. When I heard the news I thought only five years! It is hard to remember a world without it. This celebratory video is great, full of Brits and our monarch. It also has the ‘Charlie bit my finger’ clip which I love. Enjoy a whole five years of nostalgia!

No way! Happy birthday YouTube, or GoogleTube as it could have been renamed in October 2006 when the internet giant acquired the site. I’m sure I was watching YouTube vids at school, but obviously not. And just think how many videos you will have watched in five years, ranging from brilliant, inspiring audio-visual gems to completely pointless wastes of 2 minutes of your life. It could be as many as one a day. Here’s to another five years!
